Slecht moment... Ex-JPL-man zakt ZWAAR door het ijs in titelmatch van Burnley: "He's been shite"

Zegt de naam Vitinho nog iets? Het zou eigenlijk moeten, want de Braziliaan speelde tussen 2018 en 2022 75 matchen in de Jupiler Pro League, bij Cercle Brugge. Vorige zomer werd hij er echter weggeplukt door het Burnley van Vincent Kompany. De verdediger, die vaak als winger wordt gebruikt, kwam er 32 keer in actie in de Championship. Dinsdagavond mocht hij zelfs beginnen aan de titelmatch, maar voor hem persoonlijk werd het geen succes. Zijn vervanger Manuel Benson werd de grote held.

Vitinho vs Blackburn Rovers

Vitinho mocht zich bewijzen in de titelmatch tegen Blackburn Rovers, maar leverde op het foute moment een snertprestatie af. Zijn match duurder amper 58 minuten en op Twitter was hij felbesproken onder de fans. Uiteindelijk maakte het allemaal niet uit, want Kompany kroonde zich toch tot kampioen in de Engelse tweede afdeling.
