Speeldag 23 in La Liga was er ééntje om te onthouden, want Barcelona won voor het eerst sinds héél lang nog eens een echte topwedstrijd. In een spektakelstuk ging Atlético Madrid voor de bijl: 4-2. Bij dat andere Madrid loopt het gelukkig een pak beter: Real won met 1-0 tegen Granada en blijft daarmee alleen leider met zes punten voorsprong op Sevilla. Dat had De Koninklijke andermaal te danken aan Thibaut Courtois. Na vier minuten behoedde onze nationale nummer één Real voor een achterstand met een fantastische beenreflex, oog in oog met Granada-middenvelder Puertas. Een belangrijke redding, bleek achteraf! De fans van Real Madrid dragen hem ondertussen op handen. Eden Hazard mocht 25 minuten invallen.
