Wilmots wil Yaya Touré terughalen bij nationale ploeg Ivoorkust: ''Hij speelt altijd fantastisch''

Marc Wilmots, sinds kort bondscoach van Ivoorkust, gaat proberen Yaya Touré terug te halen bij de nationale ploeg.

De 33-jarige middenvelder van Manchester City speelt al sinds twee jaar niet meer voor Ivoorkust. Touré nam eind 2016 afscheid als international, maar Wilmots hoopt hem weer zo snel mogelijk bij de nationale ploeg te halen. ''Ik heb zijn laatste twee wedstrijden bij Manchester City gezien. Hij speelt altijd fantastisch, hij is fysiek zo sterk. Voor Touré is het nog niet voorbij. We moeten hem terug zien te krijgen,'' aldus Wilmots.
