Kepa Arrizabalaga reageert in statement op 'weigeren wissel' in finale Carabao Cup

Chelsea - Manchester City stevent af op penalty's als Chelsea-trainer Maurizio Sarri zijn lichtgeblesseerde doelman Kepa Arrizabalaga wil wisselen. De Spanjaard heeft echter andere plannen en weigert.

Het kwam de keeper op heel veel kritiek te staan, want zoiets kan natuurlijk niet. Tot overmaat van ramp maakte Kepa geen goede indruk in de penaltyserie en won Manchester City. In een statement op Instagram laat Kepa weten dat het echter berust op één groot misverstand...

"De trainer dacht dat ik niet meer in staat was om te spelen. Het enige wat ik probeerde duidelijk te maken, was dat ik nergens last van had. Ik heb het volledige respect voor de trainer."
